Just a Little Piece of My World...
I find that I change my studio space quite often. I may add somethings here and there. I may take somethings away. It's my creative space and I love spending my time in there making it just the way I want it. It's funny though, sometimes when I share my world with people I personally know, they find it a bit "over the top." They say things like "Wow, you have a lot of stuff!" or "Why do you need that?" or "You have so much, you should never be sad." and "You create what?" and the statements and questions go on from there. If I listened close...which most times I don't, I can hear the negative undertones not directly spoken out and I think to myself..."Self, keep doing YOU!" then I continue forward.
I actually think that to myself even when I don't listen to the comments that try to discourage me or lead me into a place I don't want to be in....smiles...
I truly believe that you have to focus on the positive things in your life and allow those things to shine. I truly believe that the negative things can serve as motivators if you put them in perspective. The devil comes but to steal and destroy...but God comes so that we can have life and have life abundantly...I love that God loves me and created the gifts that are within me.
We all have gifts and callings...we all have talents that are uniquely our own...just like our fingerprints. My motto...?
Note to Self..."Do YOU..."
And when you do...
No one...no not no one can alter your path to Greatness.
And How is Greatness measured you may ask...?
Greatness is measured by the JOY that sprung up in your heart...as you whistled while you worked and created a masterpiece all your own....
so...
Be it cleaning your studio or making your art...
It's all YOU!
And YOU being YOU is pretty darn Awesome!
