I will be one of the instructors at the
Annual Powering Up With Technology Conference in our school district.
I am teaching a 45 minute workshop on the use of Digital Kits with the new Photoshop Elements 9.0. Program.  I will show participants how to open a digital kit; papers and embellishments within the program, house the elements in the holding bin and drag/drop desired elements onto the page.
In addition, participants will learn how to get started with a digital paper for the background layer, crop mats, add drop shadows, photos, text and embellishments to the layout for a really easy but beautiful scrapbook page full of memories.
This workshop is hands-on.  Each participant will have access to a computer to follow along as we create a basic layout within our allotted time.
Last year, my workshop was overfilled, I'm hoping for the same turn out this year!
I will use this digital scrapbook kit to demonstrate the lesson. I created this layout of my boys using papers and embellishments from the kit.
I received this scrapbook kit from
Scrapper's Guide.com as one of my monthly digital kit downloads.

 The cool thing about getting your kits from them, is that you get the best quality kits out there.
Linda the owner of Scrapper's Guide is really a gem in my life.  She invited me on a scrapbooking cruise to the Bahamas a few years back.
My best friend Angela (who has since passed away to cancer) and I split the cost and went together.

 I am so glad I went for several reasons. 
Angela and I had the most wonderful time meeting Linda and her husband Charlie in person and scrapping digitally on a cruise!
Linda definitely jump started my Digital Journey into Scrapbooking!

Happy 4th Birthday Joshua!

Today my baby boy turned 4 years old!

Seems like yesterday that I held in him in my arms for the first time.  My sweet Joshua. 

I found out I was pregnant with my Josh the night after my mom's funeral.  My stomach was crampy and I couldn't figure out why. I decided to buy the test just because... and sure enough it was positive.  I was elated and saddened at the same time that my mom would never share this new life with me.  When I returned home to DC from Buffalo, I went to my Doctor to confirm the pregnancy.
You know what he told me?
He told me that I was threatening a miscarriage and that was why I was having so many cramps. 
Well, I was not about to loose my baby! No way!!!
I prayed and prayed some more. 
I drank plenty of water and took the medication they prescribed for me.

My Josh was full term, healthy, beautiful and today he's 4!

How cute is that face? 
He's like "Ma, seriously? I can't do this!"
