When I created this collage I thought of a Fallen Angel.

I'm not sure why, maybe the mood I was in...who knows...

Someone so beautiful, with everything given to walk away from it all.  

Fallen.

There's something in her eyes that spoke to me.

Love Stricken?

Hurt?

 Affair?
Contemplation?
Regret?

Fallen.

There's something there in her eyes...
What do you "hear" when you "listen" to her "eyes"?

Today I Received a Care Package....from Germany!

 My Dear Sweet Viola...all the way from Germany...

 Sent me the most beautiful care package of hand dyed lace, fabrics, and papers...

a hand made tag with an "L" stamped on it (sweet!)...

and a beautiful photo pendant which is so very special...

Look at the stamped fabric trim....

It reads "Best Wishes!!"

I'm in tears!

(Tears of joy that is!)

Inside the stained embroidered wrap was the most beautiful fabric collage!

I can't stop looking at it!

Viola is so multi-talented! I love everything she creates!

This collage is full of lace, trims and buttons!

Just Beautifully Done!

The image is perfect!

Viola, your talents amaze me, and your generosity makes me smile (Big!)

I am so thrilled and completely blessed by these gifts.

Cricut Imagine is Here!

The Cricut Imagine launch was September 14, 2010 on HSN!
I ordered mine during the launch and received it 3 days later on Friday!!
This is a Monster of a Machine! It's Huge! I had to change somethings around in my craft space to accommodate it.

The LCD is Full Color and completely Touchable.
I can use all my original Cricut Cartridges on it, as well as the Beautiful New Ones!

This of course is Provo Craft's slogan for their
New Imagine.

Oh, I can Imagine a whole lot of beautiful crafts with this Baby!

In addition to this Beautiful Piece of Technology
I've joined the Cricut Circle Community...

 You guys know how I love Fabrics, Photos and New Technology!

 Oh what fun!

Mom, I Have You On My Mind...

Today, well everyday really...I have my mom on my mind.

 I created this Digital Layout for my Mom a year or so before she passed away.

She loved the layout so much...
that I transferred it to fabric

and attached it to a canvas carry-all bag
that she absolutely loved, carried everyday and
showed off to everyone she met! And I do mean everyone!

The image on top is mom when she was about 17 years old and
the bottom one is me on my wedding day when I was 27.

I love our resemblance in these photos.

 She is and will always be my greatest inspiration for everything I create.

Friday's Fabulous Fabric Finds...

So in addition to the beautiful vintage jewelry I love to collect and use in my art, 

I am hooked on beautiful upholstery fabrics!

 I love their texture and patterns.  

My favorite places to find great textured fabrics are thrift stores! 

I frequent them all the time looking for old bedspreads, 

shams, lace curtains, and dollies. 

I can't wait to wash and cut the fabrics I find. 

I usually take a pair of scissors with me when I go 

just cuz...

I can't wait to cut them up! 

And...

Oh, if I can rip them too...S@-Weet!

And then of course...

I have to wash them the same day...

at the local laundry mat...
right after shopping...

just cuz...

I can't wait to touch them

before I get home!

Seriously!!
